Satellite Daydream

Creating a distraction from reality, a series of daydreams that transports us to different worlds.Through their music, the band intends to transport themselves and their listeners away from the present reality, to a place where they are able to control what they see, hear and feel — in a Satellite Daydream.

MEMBERS

Satellite Daydream (SD) is a four-piece alternative/indie rock band managed by Cam Celestial. The band is made up of Bj, Zuriel, William, and Harvey—four friends who’ve known each other since high school, but only really found music together years later. In 2018, after going their separate ways for college, they reunited for a high school homecoming at Lourdes School of Mandaluyong. They played as a cover band with Vincent Bautista, not really expecting anything beyond that night—but it ended up being the start of everything. After that, they kept meeting up to play. Around the same time, Zuri was busking in Eastwood and started getting invited to gigs, which turned into the band playing more shows together. During this phase, Nicole Etrata joined them as a vocalist while they were still figuring things out as a cover band. Then the pandemic hit, and everything stopped.A couple of years later, in 2022, they found their way back—this time with a clearer direction. They started working on Bj’s quarantine demos, digging into Zuri’s songs, and slowly building something that felt like their own. After about a year of just practicing, arranging, and figuring out what they wanted to sound like, Satellite Daydream became what it is now.Since then, things have been moving. In March 2023 article, Metroscene Mag called them “one to watch” in the Philippine music scene. In May 2024, they signed with PolyEast Records, and later that year, they were featured on INQUIRER.net’s InqPOP/POP! In November 2024.
